2023 Session Introduction of VCNAA to VT House General

State of Vermont House General and Housing Committee Chair Tom Stevens asked Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs (VCNAA) Chair Rich Holschuh to give an introductory overview to the Committee yesterday: who we are, what our concerns might be, and what we are currently doing. This Committee deals with many of the Native-centric bills that come through the State House and has been a frequent host for past testimony over the years. Chair Stevens asked for this introduction since 3/4 of the members are new in this session  - consequently, with no institutional memory - and have a lot of catching-up to do. There was an anticipated fire drill just when we started at 2:15 pm, so this particular video record jumps right in when the Committee was reconvened, missing the earlier introduction at the end of the preceding transcript.
